The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) is pleased to announce a new hire in the Soybean Production department. Stacy Zuber of Champaign, Illinois joins the team as Research Data Scientist.

Zuber holds a doctoral degree in Crop Sciences from the University of Illinois and has over 12 years of experience in sustainable cropping systems research. In her new role, Zuber will focus on soybean research, on–farm trialing, conservation, and data management, and will play a crucial part in advancing these areas within the agricultural field.

ISA Director of Agronomy, Abigail Peterson, shares her excitement, “We are thrilled to welcome Stacy to the team. She brings expertise focused on rotational cropping effects to soil systems that has spanned across the Midwest, which will be utilized across all departments at ISA. Having an expert that can communicate soil science and agronomy to farmers and non– farming audiences helps to expand the reach and potential of soybean production.”

The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) checkoff and membership programs represent more than 43,000 soybean farmers in Illinois. The checkoff funds market development, soybean production and government relations efforts, while the membership program, Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG) and the Illinois Soybean Growers PAC actively advocates for positive and impactful legislation for farmers at local, state and national levels. ISA upholds the interests of Illinois soybean farmers through promotion, advocacy, research and education with the vision of becoming a trusted partner of Illinois soybean farmers to ensure their profitability now and for future generations.
