The increasing interest in soil health has been accompanied by a wave of soil health tests, many of which focus on biological soil properties or processes. As for soil nutrient testing, soil health testing can be useful for guiding management if performed and interpreted correctly.

This webinar, presented by Dr. Andrew Margenot and Heidi Allen Asensio of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, will provide a comprehensive overview of soil health testing. They will explain overviewing types and theory of common tests, how to interpret test results, and the extent to which tests can be used to guide management decisions. Examples will be illustrated from Illinois cropping systems, including multi-site soil health trials by University of Illinois supported by Illinois Soybean Association.
