In this video, IL Soy Envoy Drew Beckman, CCA, from Beck’s Hybrids, highlights the nutrient removal rates of high-yielding soybean crops compared to corn. He explains that a 75-bushel soybean crop removes more nitrogen and potassium than a 250-bushel corn crop, emphasizing the importance of adjusting fertility practices accordingly. Drew also discusses the impact of early planting and soil conditions on soybean yield and encourages growers to consider these factors to improve their crop’s success.
