Dr. Nick Seiter presents year-one findings on how insect pests impact soybean yield and ROI. This multi-year project funded by the Illinois Soybean Association checkoff program aims to identify insect pests responsible for reducing soybean yield and grain quality and how often control measures, including seed treatment and foliar insecticides, provide a return on investment. Insights will be used to determine threshold levels for these pests, as well as integrated management recommendations

This presentation was recorded at the Field Advisor Forum on January 16, 2025 in Champaign, IL.

Dr. Nick Seiter, PhD, is a Field Crop Entomologist with the University of Illinois. He develops insect management recommendations for soybean and corn production in Illinois. He has a PhD in entomology from Clemson University, and BS and MS degrees in Entomology from Purdue University.
