The Illinois Soybean Association is launching an effort to develop an on-farm trial network to assess and evaluate some of those tricky topics that we all wish we had more information about. In this video, learn more about how to get involved and the topics the on-farm trial network will aim to address.
Presenters:
Abigail Peterson, CCA, is the Director of Agronomy for the Illinois Soybean Association. She specifically works to advance soybean management systems to protect and improve soil productivity and water quality along with the ISA agronomy team that strives to support all in-field agronomic needs. Abigail supports soybean farmers’ production through promotion, research, education, and evaluation of economics and return on investment. After graduating with a degree in Agronomy from Iowa State University, she worked directly in soybean production in Iowa and then began working with Illinois and Missouri farmers with the National Corn Growers Association Soil Health Partnership. Abigail’s background is specialized in corn and soybean production with diversifying management systems.
Dr. Stacy Zuber is the Research Data Scientist for the Illinois Soybean Association. Dr. Zuber earned a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Crop Sciences from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She gained research experience as a postdoctoral researcher at Purdue University and at University of Missouri-Columbia, particularly working with analysis of on-farm research data. She works on behalf of Illinois soybean farmers in the development and implementation of agricultural research and outreach programs. Her emphasis is on designing and implementing on-farm research trials, analyzing data and preparing and delivering outreach materials to share findings with the agricultural community.
