Jim Isermann is an agronomist for the Illinois Soybean Association specializing in conservation and soil health practices. In his role as Farm Manager at ISA, Jim oversees the research and demonstration trials at the ISA Agronomy Farm south of Heyworth Il, and the demonstrations located at the Farm Progress Show site in Decatur Il. His role includes assisting with ISA’s On Farm Trial Network in developing trial protocols, creating trial maps and yield data collection, and helping farmers implement trial treatments. He also serves as the Soil Health Specialist for the Illinois Sustainable Ag Partnership, facilitating soil health training programs and content. Jim lives and farms with his family near Streator Illinois, raising soybeans, corn and beef cattle.
