Soybean producers in Illinois have an opportunity to contribute their expertise to the future of climate-informed agriculture. On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, the United Soybean Board (USB), in partnership with the Midwestern Regional Climate Center (MRCC), University of Illinois Extension, Illinois State Water Survey | Prairie Research Institute, and the Illinois Soybean Association, will host a workshop aimed at integrating climate data into soybean production decisions.

The event will take place at the Illinois Soybean Association office in Bloomington, with registration beginning at 8:30 AM and sessions running from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM CT.

Producers who attend will:

• Review findings from a previous USB-funded project

• Explore ag climate decision support tools

• Participate in a demo of a new ag climate tool dashboard

• Identify current soybean production decision needs

• Provide feedback to help guide future tool development

This workshop is designed to be interactive and producer-focused, offering participants a chance to help shape practical tools that support climate-smart farming decisions.

Registration is free but required. To recognize the time and input of participants, the first 25 registered attendees will receive a $350 honorarium to help offset travel and participation costs. Meals will be provided.
