SYNOPSIS

Crops are loving this cooler weather we have had. It will prolong our grain fill period in corn and allow the soybeans to progress at a nice pace.

WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING BEST DESCRIBES CURRENT CONDITIONS IN THIS COUNTY?
Mildly Wet (soil is wetter than normal, local vegetation is healthy)
PRECIPITATION

We happen to catch a small shower this morning bringing about a tenth of rain to the area.

SOYBEAN GROWTH STAGE

A wide range as some soybeans are turning. Most are sitting in the R6 growth stage.

CORN GROWTH STAGE

We are slowing pulling that milk like down with this cooler weather. This weather will help put TW in the corn. After walking several fields and plots, most fields in this territory are at half milk line.

INSECTS

Starting to see a few green cloverworms and a few stinkbugs.

DISEASES

Other than what I mentioned last week, this cooler weather has kept all things at bay. No new disease to mention.
