KRIS EHLER UPDATES
Weekend rains delivered much needed relief from severe drought stress. Locally totals ranged from 1.5” to 5.5”. These rains will allow soybeans to hold pods and begin filling the lower pods. It was especially important for corn to allow grain fill without cannibalism of the plant.
Average temps and good soil moisture. Another .5” fell Wednesday. Night time temps will float in the 60’s which should allow for nice grain fill period.
A slight chance Monday for another .5”
Good soil moisture to work off of for the next week.

Clover worm moths are now heavily present.

I anticipate corn diseases will begin to appear by early-mid next week. Otherwise non existent so far.
