Caption: Winds were a bit wild in the area. This corn was basically sand blasted. The growing point is still below the ground so recovery is expected.
SYNOPSIS

Farmers were tilling, spraying, and planting in between storms and high winds. We’ve made a lot of ground this week but there are still a fair amount of fields yet to be planted. Weeds are emerging.

Mildly Wet (soil is wetter than normal, local vegetation is healthy)

Two minute rain today. The storm dumped much more rain farther west.

PRECIPITATION

Could use a nice gentle rain.

Some areas are crusted. Soybeans are losing stand pushing through. Good subsoil moisture.
