SYNOPSIS

On my drive this morning, nearly every field had corn or soybean emergence. I haven’t seen a planter in the last couple of days, seems like planting is pretty wrapped up. Fields are dry and plants really could use a drink of water, but low chances in the forecast the next 5-6 days. Crossing our fingers!

90 degrees and windy on May 15th. Suppose to cool off a bit to mid 70s.

PRECIPITATION

Limited chances of rain in the forecast.

FIELD/SOIL CONDITIONS

Field is crusting on top and it’s dry. In our no-till field, you can still find moisture 2-3 inches down. Hoping we don’t have a repeat of 2023 where we didn’t get rain for a good month after planting and it caused some problems.
