Dan Schaefer is the Director of Nutrient Stewardship for the Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association (IFCA), a role he has held since 2012. With 30 years of experience in ag retail as an agronomist and plant manager at Illini FS, he has worked extensively with growers to improve yields and nutrient efficiency. Dan holds an MS in Agronomy from the University of Illinois and is a Certified Professional Agronomist, Certified Crop Advisor, and 4R Nutrient Management Specialist. Named Illinois Farm Bureau’s CCA of the Year in 2010, Dan lives with his family in Tolono, Illinois.

Jim Isermann is an independent ag consultant specializing in conservation and soil health practices. He currently works as the Soil Health Specialist for the Illinois Sustainable Ag Partnership, with Precision Conservation Management’s 5 Year Soil Health Transition Program, and assists Illinois Soybean Association with their On Farm Trial Network.
