Dr. Scott H. Irwin, the Laurence J. Norton Chair of Agricultural Marketing at the University of Illinois, is a globally recognized agricultural economist and author. His research on commodity markets and biofuel policy has influenced academics, farmers, and policymakers, earning him invitations to testify before Congress and the OECD. Irwin leads the award-winning farmdoc project, often called the “Wall Street Journal of ag business,” and is a Fellow of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association. He holds degrees from Iowa State and Purdue University and teaches commodity price analysis.
